Mrs Chantelle Lockart Spiritualist  At SESKU Academy for Talent Match social event 3rd June 2016 at 19:00 PM – 21:00 PM

Chantelle Lockart attended our center to get all our clients from Talent Match involved in a social event which has helped to improve social skills and confidence with the young people and resulted in some new friendships for client on the Talent Match program.

Summer Play Scheme 2015 Monday 20th  July 2015

The Summer Play Scheme is a service provided by South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council working in partnership with SESKU Academy to keep the children of the parish entertained and active during the summer break. It is for children of 5 – 14 years of age and is based at Burntwood Community Centre, Church Top, South Kirkby.

It will commence on Monday 20th July operating from 8.30am – 3.30pm every week day right through the summer holidays.

Please note that children are not allowed to bring bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades etc for health and safety reasons.

Yorkshire Day 2014 Thursday 31st  July.

 

South Kirkby  has the honour this year of hosting Yorkshire Day celebrations which will take place over four days commencing on Thursday 31st July.

Thursday 31st July: Afternoon tea for the senior citizens of the parish at the South Kirkby Miners Welfare Club (cricket club) commencing at 4pm.

Friday 1st August: Yorkshire Day Parade departing at 10:15am from Minsthorpe Community College.

Saturday 2nd August: “It’s a knockout” competition at the playing fields on Common Road, South Kirkby commencing at 9:30am and lasting all day. 

Sunday 3rd August: Football tournament at the playing fields on Common Road, South Kirkby commencing at 9:30am and lasting all day.

SESKU Academy will be supplying security guards from the Talent Match scheme to help them gain experience and skills in security.

Kens Kids Events 1st August  2014 3.30pm – 4.30pm 

Childrens entertainer Ken Gaskell offers Puppet shows, Theatre Games, Magic Guitar, Balloon Hats, Party Badges and will be putting on a special show at our holiday club at SESKU Academy so come and join the fun.

SESKU Academy is having the funniest and most magical event and children’s party ever with KIMMO, We have the world famous magician ventriloquism and comedian is coming to Burntwood Community Center as seen on CBBC’s THE SLAMMER and DICK AND DOM’s HOOP-LA.

Burntwood Community Event July 13th 2014 11:00am – 17:00 pm

We are having a community event at Burntwood Community Centre on the Sunday 13th July. Anyone is welcome. There will be bouncy castles, a few rides for the kids, live music, and played music in-between. There will be a raffle on and also a few stalls. not forgetting a BBQ where burgers and hotdogs will be sold.SESKU helped raise some money for a very good cause , Kane Smith who has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is life shortening condition and the money raised will help take him to disney world. well done people and thankyou all for the support.

A brave young woman named Kathleen Waugh has decided after experiencing first hand the devastation epilepsy can cause on Friday 21st March when she lost a friend at hemsworth college who had a server epileptic fit and sadly passed away she tried to give CPR till ambulance arrived but it the attack was really bad. Kathleen encourages all friends and family to get involved in fund raising and improving awareness of this condition. Kathleen hopes that the money raised will help to educate young people of the dangers and improve our overall understanding she hopes to have a Turn Your World Purple day on

Wednesday 26th March 2014 at Hemsworth College, SESKU Academy is going to support her with this project.

About Purple Day

Purple Day is the international day for epilepsy awareness. To celebrate this year, Epilepsy Action will quite literally be turning purple – and we want you to join us by turning your world purple! You can do anything – just make sure its PURPLE!

Holding a Purple Day fundraising event really is simple! Whether you paint yourself purple, organise a purple bake off or host a purple tea party you can hold your Purple Day event anywhere and invite anybody along to share in the fun.
