My name is Jayde Healey and I wanted to become a volunteer for SESKU Academy because I have lived locally all of my life and there is nothing else in the community quite like this community centre. It is truly a great place and it encourages young people to stay off the streets, promotes having fun and helps young people develop new relationships. It also prevents anti-social behaviour, along with providing other benefits to the community through other projects which are offered. I am aspiring to become a cognitive behavioural therapist for young people. Therefore gaining experience working with diverse people at such a great community centre is giving me the confidence to move forward with my career choice and giving me a chance to give something back into the community.
