Chelsea Moss aged 18 years

Chelsea started attending Young Peoples Future in October 2011 and at the time was not engaging in any education, employment or training. Staff had to regularly address Chelsea’s behaviour and she was drinking heavily. During the months ahead Chelsea was supported by our project and enrolled on a Child Care Level 2 course with Woodspeen Limited Training based at Wakefield. She also completed FA Level 1 Football coaching course and has completed a Level 2 Youth Work course.

Chelsea was living in care and struggled to engage with learning opportunities, she is now enrolling on a Level 3 Childcare Course and has ambitions to work in social care, she has also taken the responsibility of running her own flat and is living independently “SESKU have been very helpful in supporting me to cut down on my drinking, and help me to become a football coach as I used to play for a girls team. I am now helping run training sessions at the community centre and am moving towards a career in social services”.
